05 rocket 3 tune

tunecu.fr is the link to answer all your questions. Be patient you got a lot to go through. You will not need a dealer, you need the program paid for on PayPal you will need an android device, you will need a Lonelec cable and no substitute. Then you can be free to try many tunes available here and Tunecu website.

Yea I was a bit overwhelmed but if you have the correct cable and an android phone it's really easy. Just make sure you have a 2 amp charger on it when you do the tune.
Some good videos out there.
Imo tune is worthless unless you can ride good.

Using TuneECU isn't difficult, there are a lot of Youtube videos on the topic with demonstrations. The cable is importatnt because you can't use bluetooth with the 05 Rocket. I used my old Tuneboy cable with a USB-C adapter to my Galaxy tablet for my son-in-laws 2010 Speed Triple, but use a bluetooth OBD reader for all my other Triumphs. You can download the current tune in your Rocket to a TuneECU folder before remapping so you can always return to "ground zero" if all else fails. Also make sure to pull the headlight fuse or put the battery on a charger before commencing with TuneECU, it took 20 minutes to upload the Speed Triple stock maps and 8 minutes to download the 'Tune of Death" (which son-in-law wanted, and really likes).

Thanks everyone for all your help. I have the TuneECU downloaded and the cable ordered. Just need to spend some time figuring out which tune I will need. Are the tunes at TuneECU good or are there better ones elsewhere?

Thing you need to do is copy and save your old tune
some of these tunes are not as good as what you are running
some of the tunes are set up to drop your mileage to 20 per gal
