I installed that custom built wiring harness from the guy in Japan today. It uses two relays to bypass the ignition switch so that the lights run directly off the battery. I got the one where you can add a switch to turn off the low beams whenever you want.
It took about an hour to install and...
I am posting this in general tech so Triumph can read it. My Rocket 111 06 model with 11000 klms on the clock has had the ignition switch fail three times. Now I am worried I will be stuck out on the road somewhere stranded due to a design fault. This makes me uncomfortable to take long rides...
My solder repair on my ignition switch has apparently gone south. Lately when you turn the key there is a dead spot and you have to wiggle the key to get full connection. Since I installed the Gipro and the Odyssey battery it has gotten worst, probably from the testing and extra juice. I called...
Anyone of you R3T owners have any problems with the ignition switch. Had a problem with mine on the Classic (fixed under warranty) and know of a few others who have had problems...just wanted to know if the switch is different?

Of course this happens right before Maggie valley. I'm having a weird problem with my starter. Ignition on, kickstand up, kill switch on ...press the starter button...nothing. Mess with the kick stand... nothing. Get this.... turn the blinker on.... press the start switch and IGNITION...
Maybe I'll have another R3 before RAA V takes place. Just in case, I'm putting in my two cents for where we should ride. I think this video would even scare Lonzol but I'm sure Jamie does this all the time.
All of you have fun in Maggieville and please be safe.

Can anyone tell me how to use the factory driving light switch with my own driving lights? I was under the tank doing some other stuff and tried to locate the wiring in there for the switch. I couldn't turn the key on as I had the battery disconnected due to the other work. I'd like to use...
Of all the silliest little things to go wrong!!
Was at a client site Thursday in Northern Virginia and went to get on the Roc at lunch. Turned the key on, waited for the pre-start routine to finish and hit the Start button. Nothin'. Not a thing. No click. No sound. Checked fuses and all OK...
so i recently read that the triumph logo that looks like a button on the right hand grip is a headlight off switch if the bike isnot a usa build. how would someone go about getting one of those switches so as to install an accesory and make it look stock or poss a hiden switch? just a thought
Hey does anybody have chrome switchbox covers? I have yet to find anybody that carries them. I have seen them on other brand name bike's but not on any rocket's. If anybody know's a site that carries them let me know.
I've mounted a Garmin Zumo to my Rocket and ran the wiring all the way to the battery. But I'd rather splice those wires into something that turns on and off with the ignition, so I don't run the risk of leaving on the GPS and using up all my battery.
There seems to be quite a few wires...
Is there a aftermarket crome switch housing out there ? I have heard talk of using, can I use the word here, Harley parts for a change over. Does anyone know ?
As some of you know while I am back in Afghanistan for the next 5 or so weeks I am having a lot of accessories installed on my Rocket at D&D Cycles. One thing I haven't really given much thought to was the foglight installation. I know how they will look on the cycle from various photos, but...
