Took the bike out for the first time since I had the new grips mounted. I have had them on all my other bikes,so I was pretty sure I would like them . I think they are much better for me than the stock grips. I also had the weighted endcaps and throttle boss installed. Works great. I did notice...
I have the Triumph heated grips but want to remove them from my Touring. I have my Gerbing gloves and had the cable go on the previous grips, so off they come.
Anyone have detailed instructions to share. My dealer said to be real careful with something and I forgot what that was...
Hello,
I am looking to replace the stock grips on my 2014 R3R. I have had Kurakyn Isogrips on my other bikes. I would like to use them on the R3R.
Has anyone here used them, and which do I need. I typed my info into their website, and only the chrome ones came up but were listed under...
The current heated grip thread I have seen posted reminded me to ask this question. It appears there are a lot of problems with the heated throttle grips tearing out a the point where the throttle cable attaches to the grip. The question is....Does the stock grip found on the rocket also have...
How long do heated grips last?
I've got the Triumph oem grips and I know there's a lot on this site about them failing at the throttle cable. Mine have been ok in that respect but I noticed they're very worn and I can just start to see a bare wire on the left grip.
The grips were fitted new...
My right side grip stopped heating and I was wondering if anyone had a right side heated handgrip that they did not want.....ok just asking..... But does anyone have a set of heated handgrips new or used they want to get rid of or sell....Thanks...Bigfoot
I have the Triumph heated grips on my 08 R3T, and when working, they're great. I've not had an issue with the cabling (new bike to me, obviously not a new bike, hoping this has been worked out already), but they do seem to blow the aux fuse regularly.
This might be related to my forgetting to...
Hey lads;
Despite what cruisercustomizing.com says the 2014 R3T requires the ISO Grip 6236. Im not sure about the roadster or older models but the 2014 is throttle by wire and the ones recommended by cruisercustomizing.com (iso grips 6240) will not work.
Go figure...
I just ordered the 6236, but now i'm wondering if i made a mistake.
On amazon it says the model to get for triumph is 6236. But then i read somewhere that the 6240 is a lot easier to install, because it uses the stock throttle sleeve. Anybody have experience installing either?
So after my break down of the throttle sleeve tab sans heated grip, I ordered Kury grips.
It looks like the tank is hinged and comes up like a hood. How does that happen?
The rest seems pretty straight forward. The wiring runs inside the grip and through the handlebar hole then connects to...
I took off my heated grips off of my 06 classic. Comes with Switch and Relay. The Right side grip works great. the Left side works but not as well as the Right. When I dissasembled them I found the wire was freyed on the left side. I thought it might explain the reason it didn't work as well...
Just thought I'd throw it out there. What do you prefer Heated grips or heated gloves? I think there are pros and cons for both. I had grips on my previous bike (BMW R1200GS) and despite them and the branch guards I still used to get painful finger tips. Now I have an R3R I considered the OEM...
One thing I agree with everyone - why Triumph would you not have self canceling turn signals? The Rivco mirrors not only have the extra visibility of a flashing turn signal on the front of the mirror, they also have it on the mirror side facing back. Great to have it flashing there in your...
Call me what you will - I always add heated grips. I ride year round. I've been stuck in a snow storm or two, freezing rain, and in temps down to 18F and you can't beat heated grips when you need them. Side view of Rivco Turn Signal Mirrors.
I think I got her dressed up the way I want her now:
Rivco Risers
Rivco Turn Signal Mirrors
Triumph Windscreen
Triumph Heated Grips
Triumph Engine Bars
Triumph Pegs
Corbin Beetle Bags
Triumph Tall Sissy Bar
Triumph Luggage Rack
Custom Dynamics License Plate Turn & Brake LED
Today I got around to doing a lot of big items I needed to accomplish in two of my aluminum bldgs., weight bench almost ready to go and a lot of stuff put away on new shelves I put together.
I took two pictures of the heated grip controller and was hoping if some of you who had this installed...
Just putting this out there for anybody who may be interested in putting on the Kuryakyn Black ISO Grips, I checked with the company, they assured me they would fit, I will assure you they won't, at least not fit and be safe. Took 2.5 hours to mount the throttle with all the modifications to...
I've got a 2005 RIII and the grips are DONE.
I've been looking for replacements, but all I can seem to find are the KuryAkyn Iso Grips (Never really been a fan) and the stock Rocket replacements.
I'm looking for something a bit smaller in diameter to make it easier to hold on tight with...
I am thinking of adding heated grips and once again I would like to benefit from the experience of the members.
I have heard some negative things about heated grips. I guess they tend to break at tab. This seems reasonable because of the thermal cycles of heating and expanding then cooling...
