Would it be possible to run a short pipe right off the headers for exhaust? Would it be ok or would you need to mod the air intake and all of that?

Hi all, A question (or two) for the brain trust. I installed triple K&N's tonight and masked up the claw for some cuttin. Since im still running stock exhaust (cant find Jardines) but have the triple K&N installed, would i even need a new tune? Not sure how much more air the RU-2780 K&N filters...
