Changed my oil today and when finished, I started the bike, it ran kinda rough and then a check engine light came on. Used 5 quarts of Castrol power RS 4T racing oil in 10w40 and a Triumph OEM filter. Any thoughts? :(

anyone else have this problem? I mean the front of the engine covered in a light film of black. Oil around the water pump especially. I clean it off and it is all back within a few thousand miles. I have about 30k on the motor I believe. Thoughts?

Well I fitted the battery (new) and the engine turned over but did not fire up. The previous owner thought it was coils as he said there was no spark. Surely all the coils wouldn't fail at the same time?? Any ideas folks?

My engine has "blisters" in the powder coat on the right side of the engine. Some are quite large. When I remove a blister, instead of oxidized aluminum as one would expect I find what looks like a second layer of powder coat or some type of primer. I don't mind that I did not find oxidation but...
