I did read one other thread about brake pads but it wasn't specifically about what I'm interested in.
First, does anyone know what composite is used for the stock R3T ABS brake pads?
Second, I see there are a lot of positive comments about EBC HH pads here. However, when searching for info...
Hello all,
I have 200 miles on my R3T now and I have a quick question about the front brake level. When the bike is off it looks like the fluid levels are full, but once I get going the levels drop to the 'lower' indicator. Is this a Triumph thing, a dual calipers on the front thing, or nothing...
on my 2014 R3T ABS, I lost all rear break pressure today on a longer ride. It just pushes to the floor. Fluid level ok. No leaks. Since it is under warranty, I will let the dealer mess with it. I do not think it is air in the line.
The only thing I have changed are the headlights to LED's , and rear tail light and rear license plate to shorten up turn signals. I ride, Hi beam indicator comes on then goes out, get to destination, no tail light, no plate light. I have brake light(GOOD) just no tail light or plate light...
Does anyone know how long the stock brake line is from handlebar to ABS box and what fittings are used? I need a brake line made 7" longer than stock. Any genders who could help with this would be appreciated as well.
Been meaning to post this for a while but I always forget after I change my front tire. On my 2013 touring model the manual says to make sure the right caliper is centered on the rotor and gently pry the lower fork in or out if needed before tightening the pinch bolts.
I don't know how many...
The brake fluid is looking kind of dark colored through the little window on reservoir. The bike is a 2014 that I just picked up last month. It had only 1485 miles on it when I got it last month (now 2300)
I am planning on changing it out. I have bled brakes on many a bike and 4 wheeled...
I damaged the rear brake hose on my R3R 2013 ABS. When I installed the rear crash bars, I left too much of a bolt remainder, and it jammed the hose when I was riding today. There is no pressure in the rear beake circuit, and the fluid it out.
I understand that I need to replace the brake hose...
I am not sure what the cause or remedy for this.
After riding some of the highest Colorado passes my rear ABS started activating on routine stops. Thinking it was air in the lines, I bled both front and rear brakes - the old fashion way and with no DealerTool.
The brakes worked good - for...
Hello fellow rocketeers!
Got a question..... the pads on my bike are EBC double H brake pads in the front and rear positions. Been running these since I started replacing them back years ago.
EBC has a bedding in procedure in which I can vouch that it made the brake pads work better. Read at...
My rear brake pulses only when the pedal is depressed. The disc has about 10,000 miles on it, and the pads have about 1,000 miles. I'm wondering what my options are. Does the disc float, and it might be seized? (I live in a humid area) Can it be reconditioned, or do I need to buy a new one?
Just did my first brake pad change on the new girl, for those that havnt done there own yet. Just letting you know that its a "piece of piss to do":)...took me about 5 mins, just have to make sure you push the brake pistons back enough to get the new pads in easily.... good luck..
Bought a 2015 R3T new old stock a few days over 2 months ago. I've put 4000 miles on it and all the sudden it's developed a rear brake squeal. I've seen some other posts about this around 20K but not at this few of miles. Has anyone else experienced this on their bike?
