    Ramair filter servicing

I would say it is a great indicator of too much oil. Dirt and gunk will not go through properly oiled foam filters of good quality.

Race Tech shocks, forks springs with gold valves

I believe mine came with the instructions for a Honda, but it was the same KYB fork. Drill two sets of holes in each damper tube. Drop the gold valves just under the springs. Maybe me were set up fine. Ride

    Ramair filter servicing

It depends on how much dust you are riding through. K&N warns of Over cleaning as a slightly dirty filter actually filters better. If it looks dirty, yes clean it. If it does not look dirty, I would not worry.

    Ramair filter servicing

Off-road dirt bikes use foam filters and I imagine any good brand would work. I do caution not to use too much and to let it sit and soak in/ dissapate overnight.

Daytona trying to hang with Rocket on Angeles Crest Highway

Mainly trying to show the Rocket is a bike more capable than it is assumed to be, when it is grouped by outsiders as a bagger. She also had more in her, just keeping pace with the rider in front.

Daytona trying to hang with Rocket on Angeles Crest Highway

Yes, I believe you asess the situation correctly. The road surface is not as bad as the camera makes it out to be, but California is not known for smooth roads, all the taxes we have are used for....well that is a complaint for another day.

Daytona trying to hang with Rocket on Angeles Crest Highway

It takes a minute to roll. Can you spot me the R3T? The filmer is on a Triumph Daytona 675. Another of the group ride I actually met an Indian and FJR rider that said he is on this form while on a short break. Nice guy.

Race Tech shocks, forks springs with gold valves

The racetech shocks seem very well built. The center shaft is heavy duty looking and looks more for a truck than a bike.

    Touring Tires

I am of Viking blood and have about 100 pounds on you and sometimes ride Ruth my son that weighs 170 on back. My riding is all pleasure and mostly canyons or mountains. Probably 10% freeway. I ride fairly aggressive with sport bike riders. Heavy guy, hot weather, canyons, heavy bike = tire wear.

    Anyone running Racetech G3-S shocks?

I just put a set on the back with the springs and gold valves up front. It is a different bike now. They have the measurements on file for the non touring bikes as well. Give Jamie a call at Race Tech.

Race Tech shocks, forks springs with gold valves

i installed Race Tech heavier front springs several months ago and it was much improved but springy as they said it would be without changing the dampening. The back still was under spring, especially two up with my teenage son. I just installed the Race Tech gold valves in the forks and Race...

    Touring Tires

I got 4,100 out of my stock Metz. Front and rear they were bald except for the chicken strips. I installed a set of Excedra Max and at 3,000 the rear is down to Chicken strips. That did handle well. The front looks at least 60%. I am going to try the rear Elite 3 - 180/70-16 and see how it...

Thanks Paul. It looks great. What is the cost shipped to California?

    Touring Muffler position

Wow that "cat box" is restricted. I realize the cats are in the mufflers on the touring. I will make or get a bypass. Has anyone ever pulled out the " crimps" in the stock R3T header?

Thanks. I have a can of Motoul on order. It never came back to working. I will let you know if the flush works.

    Lost Rear Brake on R3T

I will give it a bleed first then before messing with the warranty, based on everyone's boiling issues. I suppose it could have boiled a n air bubble past the master cilindar valve into the line.
