    anyone installed a tour pack?

    I have the reckless motorcycles fairing on my 09. Very well constructed and the price cant be beat. I used a Harley tour pack mounted to the Triumph luggage rack. Works great and it is quick to remove. lots of pics in my media page of the mounts I made.

    Battery /Solenoid?

    I've had new batteries last anywhere from a few months to 7-8 years. 3 years is not bad. Always look at the simplest explanation to any mechanical problem first.

    Michelin Commander II

    Believe what you want. I know how many miles I got. I ride hard on twisty eastern Ohio and West Va. roads and I got 19000 miles on my first Commander II. I found it hard to believe myself until I tried one. Here's a pic of the one I took off.

    I'm on my second set of Michelin's. Only difference is better handling. I love them. Got about 19000 miles on the rear. Never got half that on any other tire.

    Is the 2017 model restricted or not?

    I don't think the cam timing is restricted. It's the ignition timing that is restricted in the touring model. Changing the tune, exhaust and intake will give it everything that the roadster has. Changing the tune alone will be quite impressive over the stock tune.

    That is how mine is set up. Power-Tripp tune, tors, under seat k&n. on my 09 r3t. Works great for me. About 36 mpg average and a great power improvement over stock tune.

    I use the same size as Fingers. 180/65/16 on the rear. 130/90/16 on the front.

    I got 19,000 mile out of my last rear tire. [ Michelin Commander II ] Before I started running the Michelins I only got around 7500 miles.

    Yea mine is a HD tour pak that needed some repair when I got it. The ones I looked at that didn't need any work were high priced.

    FUEL

    Mine gets the best fuel mileage with reg. 87 oct. Maybe due to higher ethanol content in the higher octane fuel.

    Tank badges coming off? Any solutions?

    I placed a long piece of a 2x6 board against my emblem over night to hold it tight to the tank to reapply the adhesive. Hasn't come loose since.
