    First Real Roadtrip

Hey, I found one! Random hotel off of I-90 in New York.

    First Real Roadtrip

LOL, a couple of Lake Michigan, couple of Canadian farm fields, few of Sudbury, Ontario, and holding a mango sorbet in Chateauguay, Quebec along the St Lawrence. Nary a one of the bike.

    First Real Roadtrip

I've had my 2005 (manufactured July 2004) since 2010, and I finally took the bike for a real road trip. 3,200 miles (5,150 km) from Maine to CT, Mass, NY, PA, OH, IL, WI, UP MI, and across Canada from Sault St Marie and back home through Sudbury and Montreal. It was nice seeing the slice of...

    2005 Water pump drain?

See, I told you my instincts are ****e. Didn't even look at the bottom of the pump to see if there was a drain. (That would be a nice mod)

    GiPro Digital gear indicator

Does anyone have the instructions to reset the GIpro and or remember what each setting does? I haven't used the thing in years but it's still installed.

    2005 Water pump drain?

2005 Riii, I'm changing the coolant, and this is how it's pictured in the service manual. My instinct says the drain is on the bottom of the pump, contrary to the manual, but my instincts are usually ****e. What're the thoughts of thosums who know better than me?

    Engine oil and filter

I've always used Mobil 1 Racing 4T 10W-40, but this time I went for Super Tech Full Synthetic 10W-40 from Walmart cuz they were out of the Mobil 1. The amount of miles I put on and the style of riding I do I suspect it doesn't matter which brand of oil I use.

By all appearances, it looks like the other site has bitten the dust?

    Pre 2010 rockets

I paid $8000 US for my 2005 in 2010, with 2,700 miles, but but I've never had a single issue, except that the trip odometer doesn't work. Currently 30,000 miles on the bike, and I hang my head in shame at the lack of miles over 11 years.

    Visiting Brisbane etc in June-July

I imagine I'm like most here- riding is about the best focused activity I do- entirely perfect for an ADD addled brain; it truly is therapeutic. The family we're visiting lives in Arana Hills, northwest of the city a little bit. It looks like an hour and a half from there to to Canungra.

2.5L Rocket Stroker Engine Kit with 6 Speed Transmission (R&D)

The Nobel would be nice, but Locklear would make for an extremely high maintenance relationship.

    Visiting Brisbane etc in June-July

I catch the flight out of Boston on the 20th, lose a day in the air and arrive in Brisbane at 7:30 AM on the 22nd. Whohoo! We're immediately jumping off to Cairns for a week, then will spend about a week in Noosa and vicinity, mostly on the water I think. We have almost nothing in concrete...

    New R3s

So- what's the deal with the new Rocket? Are they all going to have the 2.5 litre engine with six speed tranny and single sided swingarm? What's the story about the special deluxe custom? Limited production and special golden dollars to purchase these? Not having paid much attention, I'm...

    Anyone missing their horse?

It made me nostalgic for my horses. I'd ride that saddle, no worries, for hours without issue. Firm seat beats a cushiony seat!

Is that the latest iteration of Skip's ride?

    Visiting Brisbane etc in June-July

Mike, I think you've done a lot more traveling than I, so I am also a wee bit envious. Having the benefit of family living in Australia, we found an unbelievable price round-tripping from Boston. Hope you're doing well.
