    rear wheel removal

Big pain in the butt to remove the back wheel if you're not kitted up. I now have a big blue easy rizer pro but how are you supposed to remove the wheel without some sort of lift. Mind you, left side silencer came off easier than I thought it would.

    Daymaker Type Headlights (Chinese Copies)

Have bought two - although I don't claim them to be clones but LED's in their own right - I have already promised to post my results but at the moment work is getting in the way but it will happen.... eventually.

    Daymaker Type Headlights (Chinese Copies)

Apple and Android phones and many other 'legit' products made in China. There may be some dodgy products but there's a hell of a lot of good stuff out there. To be honest, a huge amount of electronic goods are made by the big companies but in China by the same companies so they maximise their...

    Daymaker Type Headlights (Chinese Copies)

There are no markings whatsoever on the ones I've got. I'm assured they're legal in UK and having read the regs I'm inclined to believe them. Basically if they don't dazzle oncoming traffic then they're okay. See my other submission in the day maker thread.

Do 5 3/4" Daymakers fit into stock buckets?

Having to put this on the back burner for a couple of weeks due to work commitments and rather than rush things I'd rather get it right at my own pace, also the bike's MOT (roadworthiness test) is coming up and want to get through that for the same reason. If I get the fit wrong then that could...

    Daymaker Type Headlights (Chinese Copies)

Very similar to the ones i'm in the process of fitting. They're available from Furore products furoreproducts.co.uk in the UK. There is a little filing and cutting of the inner register ring and no need for the CANBUS driver on the Rocket three roadster. Way cheaper than the Harley's will keep...

Do 5 3/4" Daymakers fit into stock buckets?

Okay another step closer. The OEM registration ring inside diameter - as it turns out - is only marginally too small for the LED housing, I'd say no more than a millimetre overall so only needs half a millimetre trimming which is doable without destroying them for reinstatement of the OEM...

Do 5 3/4" Daymakers fit into stock buckets?

..... On further investigation apparently there is no requirement under UK law for the E marking or the british Kite mark. Basically as long as they don't dazzle oncoming traffic they're okay to use. "5. Markings– (a) Any vehicle not covered by sub-paragraph (b), (c) or (d): An approval...

Do 5 3/4" Daymakers fit into stock buckets?

You are absolutely right on the E approval. There are no markings whatsoever on the lens, not even a "top" indicator. A little annoyed about that!! As for fit: If you remove the ring that stops the existing headlight from rotating in the bezel then they fit but then there's no registration...

Do 5 3/4" Daymakers fit into stock buckets?

Claims are easy, facts are harder to prove but if they're better than the standard candles I'll be happy. Mind you, I think a candle would be better than the OEM.

Do 5 3/4" Daymakers fit into stock buckets?

Good point, I'll let you know. I think their data is based on one looking at the data for one rather than the pair. 5 & 3/4" Headlight 3850 Lumen LED Single Headlamp - Furore Products but who knows. I'll make the commitment so you don't have to ;) This will be documented.

Do 5 3/4" Daymakers fit into stock buckets?

They could be a bargain or an expensive mistake :( however, I think I can offload them to a Caterham 7 owner up the road if they don't fit. They're 5-3/4 on his car too.

Do 5 3/4" Daymakers fit into stock buckets?

They use 4 x CREE LED's in the headlight bit apparently. Here's what they say on the website. "Price is for a pair of lights, drivers & wiring Brilliant, bright white light, headlamp upgrade for any vehicle fitted with 5 & 3/4" headlights!!! Will fit any vehicle currently fitted with 5 3/4”...

Do 5 3/4" Daymakers fit into stock buckets?

Okay guys. Took the headlight out of one of the shells and with the imprecision of a steel rule measured a few dimensions inside to see if the LED headlight will fit. It might be a little tight but I've taken a punt and ordered a pair. I appreciate that this will be more useful for UK based R3R...

Do 5 3/4" Daymakers fit into stock buckets?

These look like a more value for money option than the Daymaker here in the UK. A pair for less than one Daymaker! Anybody tried them? Any good? Will be getting my tape measure out to check if they'll fit with minimum grief. 5 & 3/4" Headlight 3850 Lumen LED Pair Headlamp - Furore Products

    best replacement battery?

Been reading up on the benefits of Lithium Ion over lead acid. One thing jumped out, be careful what charger you use. if your charger has an anti sulphating cycle, do not use it on a lithium battery. Bullet point 5 *Less weight approx 1/3 of lead acid battery *Less pollution - no acid, no heavy...

    best replacement battery?

Looks like I may have to replace my battery, it's showing signs of losing charge quicker. I think it's the original but not sure, I've not owned the bike from new. Does anyone have any view on this Yuasa? Out of interest, I don't have electricity to my garage but I do have a modest solar...
