    Can you identify this?

Wow, you are correct! I had never noticed them. Looks like one was already missing. Thanks so much. I'll have to order a couple. Cheers!

    I'll check that.

    Can you identify this?

I took the seat off my 2014 R3T tonight and found this rubber grommet type thing under the bike. The piece is about the size of a quarter. I can't even be sure it was from the bike but I don't know where else it would have come from. Any ideas? Edit: I really don't think its part of the seat but...

Best Solo Seat for the Touring

I'd be interested in the solo rack if you still have it.

Where do you get the "140 cubic inches" badge?

I didn't want to pay that kind of cash, so I did this instead. The gold lettering actually matches the pin striping pretty pretty well.

    140 Cubic Inches

Here is the website. http://www.decalfusion.com I choose the Custom Lettering then used Block style text and chose Convectabase as the type style. and made the entire line '140 CUBIC INCHES' 5 " long. Seems like a pretty good fit. Not TOO large.

    140 Cubic Inches

I was looking for the oil tank embellisher but as you know they are no longer available so I found this guy online that does auto decals and had him make these for me. Not sure how long they last but they are used for car windows. etc. and he said it should be good for at least a couple years...

Take a look at this custom bike with Rocket 3 engine.

I didn't read the whole thread here but it looks to me that whomever built that bike never looked at a Rocket III engine until the bike was finished, then just shoved the engine in it. It was built to the lines of a V-twin engine. Ugly beyond measure. Should have started by looking that the...

    ECU Map(s) - warranty / dealership

Agreed. I should have said I'd let the dealer do the mapping. to avoid issues with the warranty. Oh, by the way, I was participating in this thread as Erik Alkenbrack but had the moderator change my user name and all my posts were deleted.

    ECU Map(s) - warranty / dealership

Yeah, I am pretty happy with it right now anyway. As I said I may add the TORS and they would remap for those anyway, which would help some. Either way, I'm good. :)

    ECU Map(s) - warranty / dealership

I'm not really thinking about any performance mods at all at this point. I'm quite happy with it right now.

    ECU Map(s) - warranty / dealership

I just picked my new 2014 last week. When the service manager and sales guy were going over the usual new bike stuff he mentioned (without being asked) to NOT having anyone do a custom mapping while under warranty. He simply said if anything goes wrong it will be an expensive fix that won't be...

    Hello from Caledon, On

Ok, I rode it home today! Awesome bike. Wish it had been a bit warmer (only 60F) today, but a great first ride anyway. I'm gonna have a lot of fun on this, I know it. If I don't lose my license first. haha. That speedometer moves up pretty fast.

    Hello from Caledon, On

No, but I could have. He offered to take it out of the showroom and prep it the other day but I didn't bother. I sat on them a few times and it is comfortable and fits me well. And I did enough research to be confident that the performance would be 'adequate'. ;)

    Hello from Caledon, On

Hey, still here. I'm going to do the deal tomorrow, so I don't have the R3 yet. But I've made up my mind. With a little luck I should be riding an R3 by this weekend. I'll let you all know how it goes. :)

    Hello from Caledon, On

I will hold you to that! I'm not familiar with the process but will REALLY want to do it and would like to watch how its done. I often ride to the Napanee/Kingston area so pass right by you. Thanks to everyone for the advice and welcome. I am about 90% convinced to get the Rocket...but will...

    Hello from Caledon, On

No, I havent ridden either, just sat on them. I REALLY like the looks of the Tbird, but I already have a VTX1300 that I plan to keep so I am leaning towards the Rocket 3 Touring because it will be quite different than what I have and better (I assume) for the longer runs.
