    Ideas for crash sliders

The design of this bike makes it very difficult to all crash bar/slider protection. I guess if i drop or crash I'll need to get the money out.

New 2.5L owner, things I hate about the motorcycle.

I think it's best to focus on what you like about a bike. A negative attitude will ruin your enjoyment of the purchase. On the other hand you can spend the money to correct all the perceived deficiencies and be completely satisfied. It's going to cost plenty.

Manual transmission shifting on the Rocket vs other bikes with smaller engines

I think he might have been changing your meaning of 3k from rpm to USD. The fun starts at $5000.;) You know for me I need 20k to get my fun zone in gear.:roll::roll::roll::roll:

Manual transmission shifting on the Rocket vs other bikes with smaller engines

I would not regularly start using 3rd gear. I like shifting so I use them all and depending on moods will shift early for lazy cruise or near rev limiter for thrills. I think the motor likes to be above 2k for best operation.

Had to let the Rocket go, my license is grateful!

I would never engage in motorcycle street racing.:roll:

    Southern ride this Spring?

I live a days ride from there so I don't ride the area very often. There are countless roads to ride in that part of the country.

    Southern ride this Spring?

Marlington is quite close to Richwood and does not give you a new riding area. Just a thought if you want new roads and places. Just thinking.

New 2.5L owner, things I hate about the motorcycle.

I could not list that many things that I “ hate” on any bike I own. If I did I’d be selling very soon. Bikes are like tools, each with its own specific application.

    Best Comment from Non-Rocket Owner?

A lady admirer once told me that it was a Big Little motorcycle. Wonderful juxtaposition of terms but quite accurate.

Triumph Factory Custom. It was the first model of the new 2.5l line of limited production. When I saw the pictures and heard a few details I ordered one immediately.

    Best Comment from Non-Rocket Owner?

I’ve had many compliments on both the old and new Rockets. One lady spoke os the TFC saying, “ that’s the prettiest motorcycle I’ve ever seen”.

    Ya think?;) %100 agree.

Do I need to install the Quick-Shifter on my R3GT?

Extremely well stated opinion. I'm 65 yo and was raised in the dirt, heaven forbid we had TC on our dirtbikes. Spinning, wheelies and controlled sliding was half the fun so I am not a fan of overly controlled bikes. I do understand that poor riders are saved from their own lack of developed...

    Quick shifter installation

It’s worth it to take it to the dealer to get it done right.

Do I need to install the Quick-Shifter on my R3GT?

Thanks for the clarification. I like my quick shift when I choose to use it. It’s just a fun feature. I’ve ridden KTM, Aprilia and a 240 Carpenter Rocket so I do know how to control big power. It’s all in the right hand and good judgement.;)
