Bike No2 joins the Rocket 3 in Jagster's garage.....

Looking at how short that wheel base is and the narrow rake, that’s going to be lively on a twisty bumpy road.

Yes. I have to admit that it could be a challenging ride.
Below on the left is an image of my old HD XR1200 which was pretty tall relative to is wheelbase, but rake was more relaxed than on this BottPower bike.

I really loved my old XR. I liked the handling of that bike, but it was too heavy to really give complete confidence at speed in the twisty hill roads. I hope that this new bike will effectively be 'next level' experience to the XR.
Time will tell....

I was wondering if it had the forward exit exhaust. Those carbon fiber bars are sweet.
No. It doesn't have the GPR forward 'deeptone' exhaust.
I'm not sure what the system actually is on the bike. Maybe it's the stock Buell one, but i'll find out eventually.
I've been doing a bit of research on end cans for these Buell engines and haven't found anything particularly inspiring.
Termignoni do a fairly nice looking one that is lightweight, but I've also read that they fall apart quite quickly also....so not sure what is the one to go for. If any.
The headers are a different story. They are pretty exotic items, by the look of them. I think bespoke titanium items.

When I eventually get the bike home, I will get more climatized with the bike.
It's been heavy snowfall this weekend here, so I guess that will have delayed things a few days more than the current waiting time....(backlog at dealer due to Christmas Holidays)

The bike weighs in at around 178kg which is pretty impressive considering the V-Twin lump at the heart of it........carbon everything adding anti-gravity to the sled...lol...

Waiting for info as to when the workshop will have completed the service & general re-commissioning of the bike.

Snow everywhere outside, so pointless of me to try to speed up the process. 🥶

The antidote to impatience?.......consumer therapy........LED headlight now ordered! 🤩

That felt good for the first hour.......now i'm impatient about receiving the headlamp.......hmm.....well that was short lived 😭.....lol....

Next job....
Make a new and more comfortable seat.

Here's my design.......

And here's the 3d print of the mould tool that will enable me to make a thin GRP moulding that will form the base structure of the new seat......

GRP laminated and cured in the mould.

De-moulded and initially trimmed as one piece at this stage. Once the foam is cut and laid into the base and tested for function & shape etc.. It will be cut more accurately into two separate pieces.

Photo montage of current progress on the new seat design.
It's almost made, but now needs to have the upholstery done, hence the need at this stage to do a render of how it might look when the seat covering is made.
One thing for sure, is that the wider, more concave shape is WAY MORE comfortable than the original seat pad.

I went to my local auto upholsterer today in order to get the seat finished, and during our discussion about choice of material and foam density etc... he suggested adding a bit of red into the covering.
I thought it was a good suggestion so I rendered it up when I got home.
So...that's what i'm going for. Decision made.
