    Vibration 2800 to redline

Low Tension leads have caused me rough running on 2 occasions. There is a good post somewhere here on where and how to remedy. Like Chris suggested, old fuel, if not the problem still should be suspect. And I just changed my fuel filter at 31,000 miles and with a slight improvement in...

    Attention ALL Electrical Guru's

I have had the very same thing happen yesterday! I had the tank off to change the fuel filter and the speed gauge acted up after, just like yours. It threw a 1690 error code, Turns out when I reinstalled the left side plastic frame cover, the one just ahead of the fuel tank, the wires to the...

    ABS light on

Thanks. Fuses are good. Have not bled the brakes yet. Sure would like to have a manual which covers the few differences of the Roadster. I was thinking that I may have disturbed wiring when I routed some new runs from aux. fuse box to front forks. So I have been panning to change the fuel...

    ABS light on

2011 Roadster ABS light is on. I sure would appreciate any suggested directions I could look. No real brake symptoms other than the rear brake is a bit mushy / weak but I have not yet changed the fluid. Bike has 31,000 miles. Rear pads have about 4,000 miles on them and are fine. Fronts are...

    Its lonely around here.

Wasn't that the name of a movie: Lonely in Cape Cod? I have always wanted to take the Rocket to Cape Cod! Don't feel too lonely, I took a 5 month trip from Maine to California and back this past winter, 11,700 miles and the only other R3 I saw was in Palm Springs Ca. And to be honest I really...

    R3 sick?

My Girls Back! Thanks all. I see what you are saying about the mounting plate -- it will come out soon. Got the coil leads good and tight. Pulled all the plugs and I suspect that out of concern not to over torque them one may have not seated the crush washer. This has been bugging me for some...

    R3 sick?

Will do, thanks. Last time I checked them I found it extremely difficult to attach the leads with the plastic shield on. especially the one "hiding" on the left. Would it cause any problem if I left these off to assure I have a tight fit? Thanks for your help!

    R3 sick?

Pulled the crank sensor and it looks clean. No change. Looked at low tension on the two coils which I can get to without lifting the tank as I am out of time before I have to ride to a meeting. Valves have not been checked. I'll order a fuel filter. Perhaps next step will be to get a PC hooked...

    R3 sick?

Thanks. Yes I have checked them and they are snug.

    R3 sick?

Any thoughts? Bike is basically stock except for under tank air filter. I had recently changed plugs but it ran very well after for apex. 500 miles. Checked the low tension coil wires and tightened. Bike has 30,000 miles on it. Running rough, annoying vibration (feet, hands) and acceleration...

    Bridgestone none event

Could not be happier with the E-Max. 16,500 miles to wear marks. Great improvement in handling from Metz. And no pillion issues other than reports of a much more comfortable ride. New Exedra arrive yesterday.

    LED light addition-small but powerful

They are cleverly modified small torch made to run off 12v, changed LED and bezel. About all I know about them except, as stated, they are bright. Perhaps Barbagris can shed some more "light" on them. The new HD Daymakers seem to have the advantage, I think, of running the low beam at the same...
