    Engine Vibration continues

Thanks for the comments/advice. Or maybe the Roadster does have a fault. There is a small Triumph Dealer here in NZ that have pulled apart a number of Rocket Roadsters with the same issue and have repaired them. I just thought that Triumph NZ and their technicians would be familiar with the...

    Engine Vibration continues

The Rocket has returned from Triumph NZ. Diagnosis: The vibration is something Rocket III's do get as they clock up the Km's. If this is the case why did they try to fix it by replacing the whole clutch kit. The replacement of the whole clutch kit did fix the vibration for a short period, but...

I am one too. The latest is, Triumph NZ are putting it on a Dyno with another Rocket to compare results. Watch this space.

    Engine Vibration continues

Thank you for telling me something that I may have already realised. I don't expect anything other than maybe it being fixed or someone that reads this, knows how to remedy the issue, as others do I'm sure. After all isn't that what this forum is all about. Maybe even Triumph may learn from...

Yes I have albertaduke. I would have thought that Triumph may have thought of that and covered the costs. I did take a sample before i gave it to Motorad to send the Rocket to Triumph NZ. They have the resources and funds, you would think that they would like to find out what the problem is...

    Engine Vibration continues

I would say YES to that, but I am hoping that I am wrong. There is the issue of the condition of the oil too. I have never seen the oil so filthy or get so filthy so fast. To me, it looks like something is breaking down. There is a dark grey/black film underneath the filthy oil that coats...

I rode a friends 2004 Rocket III last week. No vibrations and plenty of horse power.

Correct me if I am wrong, but the Roadsters did not come out until the end of 2009 - beginning of 2010. so you may have a Rocket III or a Rocket III Classic. Both excellent models and of the era of no vibrations. LOL

    Engine Vibration continues

Yes, Interesting. But they could vibrate from any one of a number of things. some of which can be remedied. Some apparently can't be remedied and it seems that some people are trying to brush it off as it is just the nature of the Rocket III engines. These seem to be people that do not own or...

    Engine Vibration continues

As you may have read from my posts, only 2 out of the 4 that I have owned have vibrated. all others that I have ridden do not/did not vibrate. So, some do vibrate with the clutch issue that you have described and the majority, as we would hope, do not. I am in favour and want, one of those...

    Engine Vibration continues

Sorry, I thought you were suggesting that all Rocket III's had a vibration. Apparently they changed the composition of the crank shafts to make them lighter in an effort to make the whole bike lighter. Just to let you know the Vibration was quite bad and it sometimes would not go into first gear...

When you have had an 05 and a 09 Classic that did not vibrate at all, clutch in or out, when you upgrade to a late model Roadster after they print that the new Roadsters are smoother, that is generally what you expect to get. When i road tested each one before I brought them they were smooth...
