Photo taken using the civil war era wetplate technique- collodion on metal (tintype/ferrotype). The 7" x 9" photo is reversed in camera, resulting in the image being "flipped." Unlike film or digital, designed to make multiple images, the ferrotype is the final product. ©2025 Blake Madden
