Looking for mods to De-Tune the heavy chrome. Charcoal grey pieces would be nice for Rad surround , valve covers, etc. etc. Also would like to mod big clunky fenders to lighten look. No rush, retired, plenty of free time.

Welcome @huck from Australia, Powder coating might be your friend here. I have de-chomed plenty of rockets and am curretly doing one and have anouther to follow.
Powder coating the wheels is (IMHO) the best cosmettic mod you can do (No more wheel polishing - Not that I ever did that anyway). as for fenders, fibreglass options????

THANK YOU! Brilliant. Forgot about simply powder coating. (Do it on our road race cars all the time - dah) Will look into this in Dec. when I have some shop time scheduled.
Fenders? May just start with my favorite tool - sawzall. Little at a time to see if she talks to me. Feelin' less is more for this lump.
Really like your work, personalization and results. Plan on full "conversion" to start in the Spring .
Never worried about going down the mod black hole. It's a good place - they know me there.

Greetings from sunny North Texas. You can also add some tasty carbon fiber to your bike. I believe Motocomposites still makes Gen 1 parts.

I did a heat shield replacement on my GT and had a ceramic coating put on my header:
